About Us
United Postmasters and Managers of America (UPMA) is dedicated to supporting, mentoring, and guiding all Postmasters, Managers, and Supervisors, as well as those aspiring to these roles, in attaining their professional objectives. Our organization provides a platform for United States Postal Service employees to collaborate and assist each other in career development. We offer essential training and networking opportunities to foster success among our members.
As an organization, we are committed to continuously improving the working conditions and compensation of our members. Our leadership engages regularly with Postal Service management to address policies that impact the well-being, morale, and overall job satisfaction of our members.
Our state and national leaders are current USPS employees, which we believe is crucial for understanding and representing the priorities and concerns of our members. Being directly connected to the day-to-day experiences of our colleagues ensures that our advocacy is informed and effective.

Benefits of Joining UPMA as a Postmaster, Manager, Supervisor or EAS Professional
- UPMA is the only management organization that can represent you at Postal Headquarters on specific Postmaster issues, including the planning and development of pay policies and schedules and fringe benefit programs.
- Annual national and chapter conventions that offer training to help you be successful.
- National officers serve one term only in their current positions.
- As an active member, you have the privilege to vote and hold leadership positions at all levels of the organization.

- As a UPMA member you have access to the network of Adverse Action Member reps, should the need arise. As an active EAS member of UPMA for at least one year prior to the date of an initial proposed adverse action you are eligible for the Legal Defense Plan.
